About Me
My Background
When I was in preschool, my favorite time of day was when my Dad came home from teaching art at the local high school, and he gave me my very own art class.
As I got older, this love for art never faded, it only grew. All through grammar school and then high school, entering art shows whenever I could, and sometimes giving my artwork away as gifts to family and friends. After I graduated from St. Louise de Marillac, College Prep High School, I went to college to study art, and earned my BA in Art / Design from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville.
I have been a Senior Graphic Designer, Freelance Artist, Art Director, Creative Manager and Creative Project Manager (managing designers, marketing teams, and juggling multiple projects at a time). I do my artwork on the side as a hobby, small business, and sometimes just for fun!
My Medium
As an artist, I use many different mediums: pencil, pen, acrylics, oil, watercolor and pastels. As a designer, I work in all of the Adobe Creative Suite programs. I feel creatively restricted, if I were to stay with one particular artistic style, or medium. I also incorporate, in some of my artwork, 3D elements, inspirational verses, and lots of creative love. Each and every piece is unique and one of a kind!
My Inspiration / My Free Time
I'm inspired by many things around me...sometimes it's something that catches my eye, other times it's the beauty that surrounds me. I can draw or paint anything I see, but people and characters are the most fun!
During my free time, I ride my Harley with friends, and let the wind blow through my hair (actually helmet, but hair sounds better)! I'm creative, grounded, organized, timeline driven, and free spirited!
